shut up and accept it

without expectation, without a deadline, without a motive, have a conversation with life. say thank you to whomever. say i love you to everybody. stop living and praying within boundaries. know that, whenever/if you ever need saving, all things are working simultaneously for you. know that, love does not only come in the form(s) of people, money, success, answered prayers. love also comes in the form of trees, failure, starvation. this life here is very much a mind game. we think we know so much only to learn that everything we have been taught our whole lives needs to be unlearned in order to find yourself and what you stand for. as i have watched the internet turn more sensitive and fragile over the past couple of years, i have mostly learned this: influence is the majority of what controls you. your thoughts, your actions, your ways. we are afraid to speak our minds or live our lives the way we wish to because we are afraid to fail. we are afraid to disappoint. we are afraid to be different. we were born into a world that made us think this way; we don’t know any better. subconsciously, we want to blend in. we want to blend in so bad that we close our minds and punish or tease others for living life differently than our own. or different from what society tells us is “normal”. we attack people for having their own opinions if their own opinion doesn’t seem “right” to us. but what is “right”? who is to decide? and why? instead of questioning or belittling or ignoring what people different from you think and feel, why not just shut up and accept it? even if you do not fully understand it. everything is not for everyone to understand. this makes sense, right? i hope i am making myself clear when i say that as people, a generation, a society, we need to love and accept people for who they are. i hope we face fears with love and open arms instead of doing what we are taught to do — run. i hope that instead of asking for things, we pray for ourselves more often. our wellbeing. our love one’s wellbeing. the world’s wellbeing and the words that come out of our mouths. i hope we become more open to giving and receiving love. because love is all we need, and we all need it.

1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)

(13) And now these three things remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
